GFPe
Through initial labratory testing, our researchers have indicated a new enhancement for the International SONET transport standard known as Generic Framing Protocol (GFP). When SONETLabs DTE is installed with GFP, a significant enhancement to the protocol occurs allowing for up to 98% encapsulation with a 20-40% effeciency increase. After final development has been deployed, SONETLabs will release "GFPe" for licensing.

SL 3500 SONET Transporter
SONETLabs has developed a hardware transporter device which enables an Ethernet to Optic Fiber connection into the SONET infrastructure. The device, when coupled with the DTE software, allows for a powerful LAST MILE solution addressing the growing need for direct Fiber to the Home connections (FTTH). The SL3500 was initially produced as a prototype vehicle for sampling DTE, however our discovery of alternative uses has prooved to be a breakthrough in telecommunication services.
